After wild scenes in Innsbruck at night, the police are looking for clues that should lead to a violent group. Two local residents were targeted twice by unknown people.
The group appeared on Wilhelm-Greil-Strasse on Saturday around 12:45 p.m. There, the unknown people hit a 29-year-old Austrian in the face after an earlier verbal argument and during a scuffle. The dizzy victim was then seriously injured by kicks to the head.
Goodbye with consequences
The injured person did not initially seek treatment. When he and his 37-year-old local companion met the perpetrators again at the central station around 1:20 a.m., another argument broke out. The companion was also seriously injured in the head area.
Hoping for witnesses
The search for the perpetrators and the investigation into the facts of the case are ongoing. Witnesses or persons providing information are asked to contact the Innsbruck-Bahnhof police station (tel. 059133-7585).
