On Sunday morning, three masked men tried to rob a supermarket in Vienna-Donaustadt. They first broke into the warehouse and tied the branch’s security guard to a chair. One of the three is said to be armed with a hammer.

Presumably the men then tried to crack the safe, but were unsuccessful. They fled without loot.
After the employee was able to free himself from his restraints, he alerted the police. The search has so far been without success.
