Promotion in the Kadyrov household: After the 15-year-old son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov recently caused a stir with a beating video, Adam has now been named head of his father’s security service. He is “a shining role model” for his generation, the commander of Kadyrov’s special army Achmat said on Instagram.
When the 15-year-old punched and kicked a defenseless man in prison, his father was visibly proud of his offspring. Now the teenager has been given an important leadership position: as the commander of Kadyrov’s special army Akhmat, Samid Chalaev, announced in an Instagram post, Adam is now head of his father’s security service.
He “revealed himself as a purposeful, all-round young man who strives for excellence and high achievement in all his endeavors,” the commander praised the young man in the article.
15-year-old was awarded the title “Hero of Chechnya”
This position is almost a family tradition: Ramzan Kadyrov once also served as temporary deputy chief of security to his father Akhmat Kadyrov. He died in 2004 during an assassination attempt. Adam had previously been honored with the title ‘Hero of Chechnya’ after the brutal attack on the defenseless prisoner.
The Minister of National Policy, Akhmed Dudayev, also congratulated the youngster on his new job. Other officials praised the “leadership qualities” of Kadyrov’s descendants.
Last year, Kadyrov had three sons, including Adam, pose with weapons in Ukraine. According to him, they also fought there as part of the forces sent by Putin in Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. However, observers expressed doubts whether the Kadyrov sons actually took part in real fighting.
