The suspect is said to have regularly found the addresses of recently deceased people online through public obituaries and then broke into their homes or apartments. He also allegedly broke into the funeral and stole approximately 92,000 euros worth of valuables and cash. Material damage: approx. 20,000 euros.

According to the report, he has schizophrenic personality disorder and obsessive-compulsive paranoid traits, as well as a severe character disorder. During the trial, the suspect did not make it easy for the judge: “I don’t know anything anymore, I have to succeed. “I probably did it, but I don’t remember anything” is a typical response. He was ultimately sentenced to three years in prison for 19 of the burglaries and the illegal possession of weapons.
