Date:

According to the forecast of the Central Institute of Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG), we are dealing with a week of muggy warm weather and an increasing tendency for thunderstorms. Although it could again see temperatures of up to 30 degrees on Monday, temperatures will drop slightly during the week. 25 degrees and above will remain the norm through Friday.

ben mounting south of the main ridge of the Alps and generally in the west of the country, there are already plenty of dense clouds and the first rain showers in the morning. In the afternoon, thunderstorms will mix with precipitation. Further north and east it will remain mostly sunny and dry. In the afternoon, the first cumulus clouds can also be felt from the mountains. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will initially remain low here. At the northern edge of the Alps and in the southern Vienna Basin the wind can sometimes be stronger from the east to the southwest, otherwise it will remain weak to moderate. After nine to 16 degrees in the morning, warming up to 20 to 30 degrees during the day, warmest in the west.

While in the south and southeast of the Tuesday often starts sunny and dry, elsewhere in the morning already first rain and thunderstorms with cumulus clouds. The sun only shows up every now and then. Thunderstorms, some severe, are expected in all parts of the country by noon. Except for thunderstorms, there is only a light wind blowing. However, during thunderstorms, this sometimes refreshes considerably. After early readings between 11 and 18 degrees, 17 to 28 degrees are reached. The weather is warmer in the southeast and on the eastern edge of the Alps.

ben Wednesday a fault zone lies above western Austria. Clouds dominate here and it rains regularly. Everywhere the sun shines at least a little bit, especially in the south and southeast. But here too, the chance of showers and thunderstorms increases considerably during the day. Thunderstorms can be severe, especially in the south and southeast. Winds will turn west to northwest and will be moderate, but there are chances of thunderstorms. After morning temperatures of ten to 17 degrees, maximum daytime temperatures in rainy zones in the west often only run around 15 degrees, in the sunnier southeast, however, up to 28 degrees.

ben Thursday on Ascension Day the situation calms down, the sun sometimes shines, but now and then a few dense clouds come through. In many regions, however, it remains dry, only in the mountains are individual, short rain showers possible. In the north and east, however, a strong to strong west to northwest wind will pick up. It is nine to 15 degrees in the morning, the maximum daytime temperatures rise to 20 to 25 degrees.

All in all predominates on Freitag sunny weather, even if a few cumulus clouds spread again during the day. The chance of showers and thunderstorms increases slightly in the west, otherwise it will remain largely dry. In the north and east, a sometimes strong westerly wind will blow again, with morning temperatures of ten to 14 degrees and daily maximums of 20 to 26 degrees.
