A 44-year-old driver was driving far too fast on the A2 Südautobahn near Klagenfurt on Saturday evening. He has lost his appearance.
Drivers know all too well how dangerous and narrow roadworks on highways can be. A Russian living in Villach probably did not recognize the potential danger on Saturday evening and raced through the 60 zone in the western junction towards Klagenfurt at a speed of 120 km/h.
The 44-year-old probably did not expect that the police would carry out speed checks in this area. The laser cannon could measure speeds of more than 56 km/h. The reason given by the speeding offender for the excessive speed was that his mind was not on the road. An alcohol test was negative. His driver’s license was confiscated.
