A 66-year-old from Griffen began to slide and fell in a row with the tractor.
The man was out with his tractor to make hay on a friend’s pasture in Griffen. In a steeply sloping area, he suddenly slipped. The tractor and tedder overturned several times and only came to a stop a few hundred meters away. The 66-year-old fell from the driver’s cab and was left lying on the grass with serious injuries. A neighbor saw the accident. She immediately alerted emergency services.
The 66-year-old had to be flown to the Klagenfurt clinic by rescue helicopter C11. The FF Ruden and Griffen and the mountain rescue team were also deployed.
