The Government of Navarre will allocate 6.4 million euros in support for the exceptional episodes of the DANAs

Date:

In concrete terms, the subsidies will be intended for the rehabilitation of agricultural infrastructure owned by local entities and damaged by the torrential rains caused by the DANAs from May to September 2023.

The government of Navarre will implement the allocations 6.4 million euros to support agricultural infrastructure of local entities damaged by exceptional episodes of the DANAs registered between May and September.

This is reflected in an agreement of the provincial government through which the Ministry of Rural Development and Environment points out that of the total budget, 4.8 million euros will be used to pay the 75% advance paid by the local entities and the rest, 1 .6 million euros will be paid once the works are completed.

The Minister of Rural Development and the Environment, José Mari Aierdi, together with the General Director of Agriculture and Livestock, Ignacio Gil, has launched an initiative round of meetings with local entities to convey the foundations of the call for help that will be published in the Navarre Government Gazette (BON) on Thursday, November 16.

The first of these meetings was held in Estella-Lizarra on Monday to attend 39 municipal councils in the area, and then another meeting took place with the affected towns in the Pyrenees. The round of play ends on Wednesday with two matches in the Aragon Valley and in La Ribera.

The local entities that will be able to benefit from this support are the 98 municipal councils collected in Foral Order 73/2023 of October 27, drawn up for this purpose by the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion.
