Their intentions may be noble, but as is often the case, the technology also has the potential for abuse.

In robotics, researchers like to use nature as a model to imitate the movement patterns of a wide variety of animals. However, mechanical engineers from Rice University in Texas went one step further and not only caused a worldwide stir in July 2022, but also created a new field of research: necrotics.
