A woman (35) was taken to hospital by emergency services late on Monday evening with strangulation wounds and serious facial injuries. Her partner is said to be responsible for the wounds. According to Vienna police, the man was arrested.
The 34-year-old Slovak is said to have brutally assaulted his girlfriend in his apartment in Landstrasse. According to police information, the man injured the victim’s face and strangled her.

What caused the attack has not yet been clarified. The suspect was eventually arrested shortly before 10 p.m. late in the evening. An entry and approach ban was also issued against the man.
The 35-year-old received medical care from emergency services and was then taken to a hospital.
