The MIM-104 “Patriot” air defense system has been in use by the US and more than a dozen allied countries since the mid-1980s: in addition to NATO member states such as Germany and Poland, there are also US allies in Asia (Taiwan, Japan) and the Middle East (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar) including.
