Shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday, a fire broke out in the roof area of the well-known inn in Fusch on Glocknerstraße. After about an hour and a half the fire was over, but the damage was still significant.
Shortly after 8 p.m., flames erupted from the roof of the famous “Bierenwirt” in Fusch on Glocknerstrasse. Alert level 2 was immediately activated. The volunteer fire brigades of Fusch and Bruck an der Glocknerstraße and Zell am See were alerted.
The fire was out after about an hour and a half. However, the damage to the main building is likely to be significant due to the use of firefighting water.
Fire investigators are now on their way
The inn is currently on vacation. Due to a recent Föhn storm, work is being carried out on the roof of the building itself. Fire investigators are now being asked to determine the cause of the fire.
For the Floriani from Zell it is the second mission within 24 hours. They had to go to a fire in Thumersbach in the early morning hours.
