No rattling of broken windows, no fear of strangers in your own living space. When Brigitte P., a Viennese woman, was burglarized last week, she was on holiday in Egypt with her husband. The son-in-law, as the resident of the Danube city tells the “Krone”, had the task of taking care of the cat during this time.
Door opened, but no traces
Last Wednesday he took care of the four-legged friend in the evening. When he went back to dinner on Thursday, nothing was the same as the night before. At first glance, everything seemed fine, said Brigitte P. Then he noticed that a window in the terraced house in Hirschstetten had been broken open. Burglars had entered the house and were targeting very specific items.
The bank book is still there, but the grandfather clock was missing
P., herself a police officer for a long time, is surprised: “The house was not destroyed, everything was where it was,” she describes. Only: jewelry, bags, a mink coat, coins and heirlooms were missing. Like a ring with two diamonds whose value is unclear.
