Alaba & Co. in Estonia – honey beer, butter candles and a lot of progress

The Austrian national football team plays in Estonia on Thursday at the A. Le Coq Arena, named after a brewery. Austrian fans can look forward to honey and herbal beer served in clay mugs on Tallinn’s Town Hall Square. But the capital and the country have much more to offer. Austrian Ambassador Peter Mikl provides a fascinating insight.

Estonia’s Swiss team boss Thomas Häberli does not always find his purpose immediately, even after two and a half years in office. Some labels still confuse him. This is because the Estonian language has 14 (!) different cases. The words change so quickly that you can lose track.
