The series of fatal accidents in Styria continues: a 53-year-old from southeastern Styria died on Wednesday evening. He left the main road near Feldbach and crashed his car into a field.
According to the current state of the investigation, no other vehicle was involved in the accident. The 53-year-old driver was driving on the B68 towards Feldbach around 6:30 p.m. Between Rohr an der Raab and Paurach the car left the road on the right, overturned and ended up on its roof in a field.

Other road users became aware of the lights of the wreckage in the field and alerted the rescue services. The 53-year-old was no longer conscious at the time. Resuscitation and the intervention of an emergency doctor and the crew of the C12 rescue helicopter could no longer save southeastern Styria. He died at the scene of the accident from his serious injuries.
The relatives are being cared for by the Styrian crisis intervention team. The B68 was closed to all traffic in the vicinity of the accident location until approximately 9 p.m. The fire brigades of Gniebing and Feldbach had 27 men on duty.
