On Thursday evening there was a fight with a knife in Brigittenau, Vienna. Two men (27, 30) were injured. The suspected perpetrator has now been arrested.
Because two men were sitting in front of the entrance of a house on Thursday evening, preventing a 28-year-old from passing by, the three got into an argument. The Serbian citizen is said to have defended himself with a knife because he was attacked by his two opponents, or at least that is what the man later described during his interrogation.
The injured man wanted to fight with the police
The 30-year-old suffered a stab wound to his upper body and the 27-year-old suffered a cut to his arm. The first was taken to a hospital by Vienna’s professional rescue service after receiving emergency medical care.
The 27-year-old, who was apparently heavily intoxicated, was treated at the scene, but then behaved increasingly aggressively and challenged the officers to fight. He had been arrested. As a result, the arrested man rioted and damaged a police car.
The police have also arrested the 28-year-old. The man had already thrown the pocket knife into the ditch.
