According to Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin, Russia is keeping the window to Europe open despite the wind. Even if closing the window is considered, this will not happen, Putin said on Friday in St. Petersburg at the International Cultural Forum.
“When the wind blows, you remember to close it (the window) so as not to catch a cold,” Putin told the state agency TASS. “But we have nice weather,” he added.
“We have no conflict with Europe”
‘We are not closing anything, we have no conflict with European society.’ Russia is more likely to experience ‘difficult times’ with the European elite.
Due to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, the European Union and a number of Western states have imposed strict economic sanctions on Russia and its politicians.
Nevertheless, Moscow continues to present positive economic data, even if it is difficult to verify.
Putin claimed on Friday that Russian economic growth would reach more than three percent by the end of the year. “And now I will not talk, as is customary in European countries, so that it does not sound like arrogance or boasting.”
Peskov spoke about Putin’s successor
Putin’s press spokesman Dmitry Peskov also made people sit up with bizarre words. He philosophized about what the next Russian president should look like. “It should be the same,” Russian state news agency Tass quoted him as saying. Then he added, “Or different, but the same.”
