Dispute with travel agency – holiday frustration for 13,000 euros: ‘The only thing that was mega was the price’

Date:

Flying for the first time and spending two wonderful weeks in the south: that was the plan of Sonja and Heinrich Rois from Niederwaldkirchen (Upper Austria). The residents of Mühlviertel paid almost 13,000 euros for it and were ultimately bitterly disappointed. Because instead of the hoped-for recovery, there was anger and frustration.

“We wanted to have a dream holiday and woke up in a nightmare,” says Sonja Rois (58). The Mühlviertler from Niederwaldkirchen had booked a two-week holiday in Mallorca in mid-September with her husband Heinrich (57), son Rene (23) and her stepmother (76). Total price: 12,918 euros. They had visited a travel agency in Rohrbach beforehand because they had very precise ideas. “We wanted a hotel right on the beach, with evening entertainment and shops, boutiques and bars nearby,” says Sonja Rois.
