As Austrian Wings reports, they carried out their most recent action on the grounds of Innsbruck Airport on the night from Saturday to Sunday – on the turning plate on runway 08. There they placed the English letters “Ban private jets” – in German : “Banished private jets” – on the tarmac. This can also be seen in a photo.
“I guess that’s what it says there.”
Patrich Dierich, spokesperson for Innsbruck Airport, confirmed to the “Tiroler Krone”: “I have been aware of the incident since Sunday evening. None of us went to the reversal plate to look at it today, but I assume the photo is not fake and the inscription is actually there. We cannot say more about it at this time.”
This means: How the climate activists managed to get past airport security staff and into the area is currently under investigation. The activists have not yet officially recognized this action.

Kristoffersen is furious
This caused a 15-minute interruption of the race, which in turn irritated Henrik Kristoffersen. The Norwegian top star was so upset that he wanted to attack the climate activists.
