A police action following a disturbance at an emergency shelter escalated in Klagenfurt on Wednesday. A couple under the influence of drugs made life difficult for the officers.
“The 29-year-old St. Veiter, who was under the influence of drugs, had to be sent away from the emergency shelter during the operation,” the police said. “But his 26-year-old ex-partner, who was also under the influence of drugs, also behaved extremely aggressively during the official act.” Because she did not calm down despite warnings from the officers, she was arrested. But the 26-year-old offered bitter resistance.
“The woman kicked the officers several times in different parts of her body. “The man also interfered with the official act because he wanted to prevent the arrest,” the police continued. “He kicked the door of the police vehicle behind which the officers were standing.” Because he resisted violently, the police pushed him to the ground “with enormous physical force”.
Small amounts of narcotics were seized upon his arrest. The couple was eventually taken to the police detention center; Fortunately, the officers themselves were unharmed.
