The residents of an apartment building in Bischofshofen in Salzburg were slightly relieved: a tree that had been knocked over in the evening by the heavy thunderstorm damaged the facade and roof of the house.
Due to the short but severe thunderstorm with gusts of wind, the Bischofshofen fire brigade had to go out twice shortly after 6 p.m.
On both occasions, trees were blown down by the storm. Two of them ended up on Salzburger Strasse and had to be removed with a wheel loader.
Tricky: A large spruce had fallen over in a residential area and crashed into an apartment building. The facade and roof of the house were damaged and the entrance to the house was briefly blocked. No people were injured.
