Strange accident on Friday in southern Styria: an electricity pylon fell on a moving car. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed. The road was closed for several hours.
A driver had a breakdown in Lichendorf (municipality of Straß in Styria) on Friday. While she was driving her vehicle on the B69 at 9 a.m., an electricity pole unexpectedly fell on the moving car.
Driver unharmed
The vehicle was severely damaged, but the woman herself was unharmed and was able to get out of the car from the passenger side.
The Lichendorf fire brigade secured the accident site until the responsible energy company arrived on site. The police had to close the street for hours.
