The crime took place a few months ago, but only now appears to have been solved. A 15-year-old was threatened with a knife and beaten by two boys in Innsbruck this summer. The duo wanted the boy’s wallet. The attackers were even younger than the victim.
The crime happened on July 16 on a footpath between Viktor-Franz-Hess-Straße and Clemens-Holzmeister-Straße. Two boys he didn’t know suddenly brandished a knife in front of a 15-year-old and demanded money and the teen’s chain. Since the victim did not let go of the bag, he punched him in the face. The 15-year-old was then able to escape. He has filed a complaint.
Attacker got cold feet
The police started the investigation. A few days later, a 14-year-old local man contacted police and admitted to being present at the robbery. The man apparently got cold feet.
The second suspect refuses to testify
However, it took some time before investigators were able to locate his accomplices. The police now report that the crime has been fully cleared up. A 14-year-old Afghan is listed as the second suspect. However, the man refuses to say anything.
