You don’t see this every day: a truck trailer loaded with thick tree trunks tips over on the Murtalbundesstrasse in Unternberg-Moosham. The logs rolled into an adjacent inn and fell there.
Just in front of an inn, a truck lost its load. Earlier on Thursday afternoon he drove the B96 with a load of logs. Near the Mooswirt inn, which was on the right side of the truck, the five-meter-long suitcases came loose and hit the facade.
No cars damaged
There were no cars in front of the house at the time, as luckily the inn was on vacation. The owners Katharina and Rupert König were even on the ground floor when the logs struck. “Suddenly there was a huge noise,” reports Katharina König. “At first we thought a plane had crashed. I also thought about an earthquake.”
In the evening, the Unternberg fire brigade put the logs aside and stored them in the parking lot in front of the house. They came from Muhr, where the Federal Forestry Agency is currently cutting down trees. The road was closed during the cleaning work.
