A vehicle from the LPD Vienna crashed into a vehicle from the Social Medical Services at the corner of Schweglerstrasse and Felberstrasse in Vienna. The driver of the police car was seriously injured.
A vehicle from the LPD Vienna allegedly drove on Felberstrasse in the left lane in the direction of Linzer Strasse and attempted to cross the intersection with Schweglerstrasse in a straight direction.
Police officer taken to hospital with serious injuries
A collision occurred with a Social Medical Services vehicle that entered the intersection from the left over the Schmelz Bridge. The driver of the first vehicle mentioned was seriously injured and was taken to hospital by the Vienna emergency services.
Three prisoners from the social-medical service were slightly injured in the collision and were also taken to hospital by Vienna’s professional rescue service. There was property damage to both vehicles involved.
Both cars have blue lighting
Although this had not yet been officially confirmed, according to witnesses, both drove with flashing lights. However, it was unclear whether they had also turned on the tracking horns, as well as the priority issue. For those who had the traffic light green or both red, it initially went unanswered.
