There was a warrant to arrest a 29-year-old from the Deutschlandsberg district for several thefts, but the West Styrian went into hiding. He was now discovered in an air raid shelter in Groß St. Florian.
According to the police, the 29-year-old from the Deutschlandsberg district is suspected of burglarizing various clubhouses, farm buildings and healthcare institutions between March and May. He is said to have stolen money and belongings worth 3,500 euros.
The Graz public prosecutor’s office then drew up an arrest warrant against the suspect known by name. But the man went into hiding.
After an intensive search it was determined that he could have used an air raid shelter in Groß St. Florian as a hiding place. Today, he was found and arrested there by troops of the state police’s Combating Street Crime Task Force (EGS). During his interrogation he largely confessed. He was taken to Graz-Jakomini prison.
