According to the Israeli army, Hamas has handed over another group of hostages to the Red Cross. Among them are fourteen Israelis and several foreigners. Among them are said to be three Thai and one Russian nationals. It is the third group that regains its freedom.
Three days after the long-awaited ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect, the third group of hostages kidnapped by Hamas has been released.
According to information from “ynet”, the family members were not separated this time, as was the case with the second group. About 200 hostages are still in the hands of Hamas.
“According to information from the Red Cross, 14 Israeli hostages and three foreign hostages were handed over to the Red Cross,” said “SPIEGEL”.
On Saturday, 13 hostages were released in exchange for the release of 39 Palestinians (see video above). The ceasefire is expected to last until Tuesday morning. However, it can be extended up to ten days.
Relief supplies arrived
While transporting aid to Gaza, 61 trucks also arrived in the northern coastal strip, which was hotly contested until the ceasefire. It is the largest delivery of its kind to the northern Gaza Strip since the start of the war between Islamist Hamas and Israel.
