Dangerous situation Monday afternoon on Andechsstrasse in Innsbruck: The driver of a small truck hit a 70-year-old on his e-scooter while driving out of a parking space. The man was taken to the clinic.
The driver of the small truck, a 20-year-old Turkish man, wanted to drive from the driveway of a house into the street on Monday around 2:40 p.m.
The driver of a second truck stopped and gave the 20-year-old the right of way. Then, as he drove away in his small truck, the local man rode onto the cycle path on his e-scooter. He was driving in the opposite direction, which may be why the truck driver didn’t see him.
The small truck hit the 70-year-old and rolled over his thighs. However, according to the police, the 70-year-old was able to get up on his own. After the first treatment he was admitted to the clinic in Innsbruck.
