As part of the deal between Israel and Hamas, another eleven Israeli hostages were released on Monday evening. There are two adult women and nine children, including three-year-old twin sisters.
Three-year-old girls Emma and Yuli, who have dual Israeli and French citizenship, were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, along with their mother Sharon Aloni Cunio and other family members.
Husband is probably still in captivity
The mother’s husband, David Cunio, was also kidnapped. There is no trace of him and it is believed he is still in captivity. Two other members of the family were released from hostage custody late last week.
In total, Hamas released another eleven hostages on Monday. In addition to the Cunios, there are two people with German and six people with Argentinian nationality.
In return, Israel released 33 Palestinian prisoners from various prisons. Since Friday, 69 hostages have been released.
On Tuesday evening, the Israeli government again received a list of people about to be released. The people on the Hamas list are expected to be released as early as Tuesday, the Times of Israel reported, citing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
