The airlines “Aeroflot” and “Rossija” now want to comply with this. They now make it possible to take pets weighing up to 15 kilograms directly into the cabin, which can easily be taken on the next seat.
“This service will be permanently available on Aeroflot flights and on flights of its subsidiary Rossiya Airlines,” state news agency RIA Novosti reported.

“Aeroflot” announces that after a three-month test phase it was agreed that there would be a lot of demand for this offer among owners of small animals and birds. During this period alone, more than 900 pets were transported in this way. The offer is available for all classes. However, in business class the transport container can be a bit larger. Passengers traveling with four-legged friends also have the option to take a dog buggy with them free of charge and use it until boarding.

For comparison: In this country it is only allowed to transport animals weighing up to eight kilograms (the weight including transport crate) in the cabin. However, the seat next to you is taboo: the four-legged friends must be stored under the front seat.
In addition, we only allow dogs and cats in the cabin. Birds on the next seat are almost unimaginable.
