Shocking incident at an educational institution in Vienna-Brigittenau: Shortly after classes ended – around 1 p.m., an attack with scissors is said to have taken place there. A 13-year-old boy allegedly stabbed his classmate in the head with the tool on the way home. The teenager is now facing charges, as police spokesperson Mattias Schuster confirmed to the Crown on Monday.
The horrific attack happened on the two boys’ way home. The 13-year-old allegedly stabbed his classmate in the head with blunt scissors. The victim received emergency medical care from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service on Friday and was taken to a hospital.
Murder weapon seized at the scene
“The boy has now been able to leave the hospital. The scissors were temporarily confiscated at the scene,” police spokesman Mattias Schuster told the “Krone” on Monday.
Student is now facing charges
The suspect was eventually found by officers at his home address. However, the hearings are still pending. The student is now charged on suspicion of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm.
This is not the first shocking incident that has occurred in an educational institution. A similar horrific incident took place last year: there was also a scissor attack on a primary school in the Mühlviertel. At the time, several students allegedly cut off the upper lip of a 7-year-old.
