Premium pensions will increase by 3.76% in 2024 in Hego Euskal Herria, so the average pension will increase by approximately 55.8 euros in the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) and in 51.7 euros in Navarre.
The average pension would therefore increase from the current 1,484 euros to 1540 euros in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, and 1375 euros to 1426 in the Foral community.
The minimum and non-contributory pensions will increase more (we are talking about percentages above 6%), although the Ministry of Social Security has not yet provided final figures.
However, the increase has been calculated based on the provisional CPI for November needs to be confirmed with final data (to be announced December 14). In accordance with the 2021 reform, the annual revaluation of pensions is calculated based on the average of the interannual inflation rates of the previous twelve months up to and including November (from December of the previous year to November of that year).
