Startled by a loud bang, a couple alerted the police in Vienna-Landstrasse on Tuesday morning. However, initially no trace of the suspect could be found.
Although footsteps could be heard even in the apartment next door, police were unable to find any suspects with a weapon. The next morning, the couple noticed material coming loose from the wall and onto the floor next to the bed.
hole in the wall
When the man removed the photo from above his bed, he couldn’t believe his own eyes. There was a hole in the wall with a projectile in it. When he alerted the police again, WEGA immediately arrived on the scene to break into the adjacent apartment. However, no one else was found. However, cartridges were recovered.
Second burglary attempt
On Wednesday evening, officers were alerted to the same address because a man (20) had tried to break into an apartment through a balcony. After officers arrived, they were able to determine that it was actually the suspect from the previous day.
Firearm seized
During interrogation he stated that he had thrown a backpack off the balcony the day before. This was found on a lower balcony, along with a five-figure sum of money and the firearm. He is currently in police custody.
