Donors wanted – Leukemia: Only stem cells can save Zita (3).

Date:

Zita, a three-year-old girl, bravely fights leukemia at the Sint Anna Children’s Hospital. But she desperately needs help.

The terrible news came last summer – and ripped the ground from under the feet of a Viennese family. Diagnosis: leukemia! Since then, little Zita has been fighting bravely for her life in the Sint Anna Children’s Hospital.

Her only chance of recovery would be a stem cell donation, but no compatible donor has yet been found, not even in the global database.

Calling the population to register
“Leukemia Aid Austria” is therefore now calling on the population to register quickly. Typing is free, completely painless and can even be done at home. This makes it easy to find out whether Zita’s life or possibly the life of another patient can be saved.

The chance of finding a suitable donor is 1:500,000 to several million. Healthy people between the ages of 17 and 45 are eligible.
