The next success for police dog ‘Thor’: in mid-October he found 900 grams of marijuana in an apartment.
Police officers in Graz-Eggenberg started working on October 15. It is said that a ‘suspicious person’ has been spotted in an apartment complex. Police suspected a burglar, but he disappeared into an apartment before being checked.
The police entered the apartment. The suspect turned out to be a friend of the owner (37). However, the police noticed a strong smell of marijuana.
Nearly a kilo of marijuana hidden
At first glance, the officers found large amounts of cannabis in the apartment. They called the service dog patrol for help. And there you have it: “Police dog ‘Thor’ managed to track down a cloth suitcase in another, completely darkened room. Inside was a 20 liter container. This container ultimately contained 900 grams of marijuana, specially packaged in freezer bags.”
The police seized the marijuana. The 37-year-old and his 35-year-old wife will be reported to the Graz Public Prosecutor’s Office. They probably grew and consumed the marijuana themselves. The retail value is approximately 9,000 euros.
