He is forbidden to stay in Austria. But a Slovak (26) apparently can’t help it and keeps coming back to commit crimes. Now the handcuffs clicked in the Tiroler Vomp after a shoplifting incident.
When police stopped and checked the 26-year-old in front of a supermarket in Vomp on Friday afternoon, he had an expensive perfume in his bag. This had previously been stolen from a drugstore.
At least five other crimes have been recorded
The suspect was taken into custody. “Further investigation has shown that the Slovak has committed at least five similar shoplifting incidents in the Schwaz and Jenbach region since mid-November,” police said.
The suspect was transferred to Innsbruck prison. He refuses to say anything. The Innsbruck Public Prosecutor requested pre-trial detention.
