A bloody act led to a police operation in a municipality in Lungau on Saturday around 3 p.m. The reason was a stab. Apparently alcohol was a factor.
The life-threatening incident took place in an apartment in a Lungau municipality: a 37-year-old local man was stabbed in the neck. The suspected stabber, a 55-year-old local resident, called the emergency services on his mobile phone immediately after the crime. The police report states: “Upon arrival, the emergency physician was already treating the victim’s wound.”
Perpetrator and victim heavily drunk
The 55-year-old was still at the crime scene at the time. The police arrested him and confiscated the knife. Both the perpetrator and the victim were heavily intoxicated. The rescue immediately took the 37-year-old to the hospital; his life is now no longer in danger.
The 55-year-old, on the other hand, had to be interrogated: there he only spoke about alcohol-related memory gaps. On the orders of the public prosecutor, he was transferred to prison in Puch.
