Police officers in the Swiss canton of Graubünden, which borders Vorarlberg, were surprised when they were on their way from Ilanz to Rueun on Sunday. An oncoming vehicle looked like a moving snow cornice, so the patrol immediately gave chase.
On Sunday at 3:50 p.m., a patrol from the Graubünden cantonal police was on the Oberalpstrasse near Rueun when they noticed an approaching Suzuki. The reason: the vehicle had only been partially cleared of snow masses in recent days. The police patrol then turned around and gave chase and was eventually able to stop the car in Ilanz.
The check revealed that the 57-year-old driver’s driver’s license had been confiscated some time ago and that she was therefore driving without permission. The car was eventually picked up by an acquaintance of the woman, but only after it had been cleared of snow. There are now several advertisements waiting for the woman.
