On Sunday afternoon, a father (48) attacked his 16-year-old daughter in Vienna-Leopoldstadt. In addition to punches, he also attacked her with a kitchen knife.
The situation escalated after a heated argument between the two. According to police, the father struck his daughter several times with his fist, pulled her hair and scratched her face.
Provisionally arrested
As if that wasn’t enough, the 48-year-old grabbed a kitchen knife from the kitchen and made stabbing movements towards his daughter’s stomach. Shortly afterwards he fled. When the alerted police officers arrived at the apartment, the suspect returned and was temporarily arrested.
An entry and approach ban and a temporary weapons ban were issued against him. A general report followed. According to police, similar arguments have occurred between the two in the past.
