There has been no trace of a 75-year-old man in Völs (Tyrolean district of Innsbruck-Land) for almost a week. Because it is feared that something has happened to him, the relatives have now turned to the public for support. The missing person is no stranger: Walter Kathrein was mayor of the community for many years.
The relatives have sought publicity and that is why the police have now published a description and a photo of the 75-year-old. Kathrein is 175 centimeters tall and was probably wearing a shirt, a red winter coat, black pants and black winter shoes.
Since the former mayor of the municipality left his apartment in Völs on November 29, there have been no clues about his whereabouts. A search also turned up nothing. According to the police, an accident is feared.
