After it snowed more in the federal capital this weekend than in ten years, it continues on Wednesday: It’s snowing again in Vienna – the roads are slippery and there are delays.
Although the clearance vehicles were in full operation from the early hours of the morning, the roads were still covered in snow and therefore slippery on Wednesday morning.
But even those who switch to public transport currently have to expect delays: the Wiener Linien reports disruptions on the metro lines U1, U3, U4, U6 and on several tram and bus lines.
Since last Saturday, all track clearing and gritting vehicles as well as additional radio vehicles and control vehicles have been on the road across the entire Wiener Linien network to deal with the snow masses.
