Two girls (nine and seven years old) are said to have seen their mother (35) attacked with a knife by her 37-year-old father in Vienna-Meidling on Tuesday. The woman was injured in the attack. According to initial findings, there have been repeated quarrels between the two for almost two years.
Blue light in Meidling on Tuesday: Around 2 p.m., the father allegedly took out a Stanley knife in an apartment there in the presence of his two small daughters and injured his partner with it. He also allegedly threatened to kill his mother.
Father on the run after attack
Due to her injuries, the 35-year-old had to be taken to hospital by emergency services who arrived on the scene. However, the suspect was no longer in the apartment at the time.
“The Vienna public prosecutor’s office has issued an arrest warrant for the 37-year-old,” police announced on Wednesday. The search is now underway for the father.
