The driver overtook on the right
The car was measured on video at Wattens at a speed of 166 km/h and the maximum permitted speed of 100 km/h. In addition, the driver repeatedly fell well below the distance of the vehicles in front of him and overtook on the right.
The passenger took over the wheel
The driver, a 39-year-old Thai man, was eventually arrested. The man’s driver’s license was confiscated on the spot. After collecting a deposit, the passenger could continue the journey. The 39-year-old is reported to the BH Innsbruck.
