An investigation is underway following an accident in the Baden district (Lower Austria). And this despite the fact that the cause has already been determined. Because after the driver left the road and ended up with his car in a field, the man simply went home. Only hours later did he alert the police.
The fire brigade had to be deployed twice on Sunday on the B 60 near Pottendorf in the Baden district. In the early morning hours, a motorist lost control of his vehicle, crashed into a guide post and was then catapulted into a field.
Hit-and-run report
The driver then tried to continue driving, but got stuck in the mud after about 30 meters. Afterwards he simply went home, but during the morning he came to his senses and reported the accident to the police. He is charged with hit and run.
Microsleep: car against tree
An accident also occurred in the direction of Ebenfurth: a driver must have left the road due to microsleep and crashed into a tree. When the fire brigade arrived, Christophorus was already in the field. Emergency doctors and paramedics treated the injured man and took him to Wiener Neustadt Hospital.
