A city breathes a sigh of relief! – Dead Homeless: The Ghost’s Confession

Date:

A city breathes a sigh of relief! The serial perpetrator who murdered two homeless people in Vienna in the summer – only one woman barely survived – has been arrested. As the “Krone” learned, he is only 17 years old…

It was a terrifying series that caused unrest in Vienna. A chronology of the bloody deeds:

  1. On July 12, a 56-year-old was found dead with multiple stab and cut wounds on a park bench on Donau-Treppelweg near Handelskai.
  2. Just ten days later – on July 22 – the second attack took place. A homeless woman was also attacked with a knife in Honiger-Au-Park. The 51-year-old woman barely survived thanks to a perfect rescue chain.
  3. The last fatal act of violence took place on August 9 on the Hernalser Belt. Here too, a sleeping homeless man (55) was brutally stabbed by the ghost. As in the first bloody act, the man died from his serious injuries.

Surveillance camera becomes the perpetrator’s downfall
At this third crime scene, the serial perpetrator fell into a video trap. Images from the surveillance camera were also published in the “Krone”. The police offered a bounty of 10,000 euros for useful information.

Now, five months after the start of the terrifying series, there has been a breakthrough for the murder investigators of the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department. On Monday afternoon, a young person turned himself in at a police station and confessed in the presence of top lawyer Manfred Arbacher-Stöger: “I am the wanted homeless murderer. I can no longer reconcile it with my conscience.”

“Voices ordered to kill me”
The suspect was interrogated late into the night. During interrogation he spoke of ‘voices ordering me to kill’. The boy’s stabbing weapon has now been recovered.
