A greenhouse was completely set on fire in St. Lorenzen in Mürztal (Styria) on Tuesday evening. Fortunately, no one was injured; the cause is still unclear.
Several callers reported the fire in the Gassing district around 10 p.m. On the way there, the volunteers of the St. Lorenzen volunteer fire brigade in the Mürztal could see the enormous glow of the fire.
Difficult firefighting operation
Extinguishing work on the small greenhouse immediately started, using heavy respiratory protection.
The extent of the damage is still unclear
The rapid alarm and rapid extinguishing action prevented the fire from spreading. Police are expected to investigate the cause on Wednesday. The extent of the damage has not yet been quantified.
