Despite the reluctance expressed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán about opening negotiations with Ukraine, European Union (EU) leaders have unanimously agreed to open accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova. Likewise, Michel indicated that they have also granted Georgia the status of a candidate country and that they will begin negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina “once the necessary degree of compliance with the membership criteria has been achieved.”
