Using GPS tracking, a mother in the US exposed her son’s affair with his high school teacher. She installed an app on his phone and used it to track him down when the man met his lover in the car for sex. A prison sentence is now at stake for this, even though the student is already 18 years old.
The Life360 cell phone app is actually a program that allows parents of young children to monitor where their little ones are. But a mother in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, used the tracking feature to control her 18-year-old offspring.
The student and teacher were naked in their car
When he didn’t show up for rugby training, she tracked his location and followed him to a park a few miles from his school. Both sat naked in the car of his teacher – a 26-year-old who had recently gotten a job at the high school.
The mother took photos of the car and its license plate and reported it to the police. Despite the young age of the student and although both stated that they had a mutual relationship, this is still a criminal offense. Sex between teachers and students is strictly prohibited in North Carolina.
The biology teacher was arrested and eventually released on bail. She must wear an ankle bracelet until the trial – she faces a prison sentence of up to 47 years because of her sexual relationship with her student.
