The Vienna fire brigade had to respond to a car accident in Liesing on Friday. When emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident, they probably couldn’t believe their eyes: a vehicle – a microcar to be precise – was upside down on the side of the road.
Woman rescued from vehicle unharmed
The fire brigade quickly rushed to help the driver, who was still trapped in the car. She was released unharmed.
Reversed into a traffic sign
How could this accident happen? According to Wein Fire Department, the accelerator pedal got stuck while reversing.
The vehicle crashed into a traffic sign. The force of the impact probably caused the car to become stuck to the bumper – see photo. No other road users were injured in the incident.
