Late repentance in prison – 17 year old in tears: “What have I done?”

Date:

No drugs and juvenile detention: When visiting his lawyer, the homeless murder suspect showed belated remorse. The 17-year-old is currently in custody in Vienna-Josefstadt.

His brief court appearance regarding the violent attack on his mother was arrogant; he basked in the flashes of photographers.

Taken into custody
After the first nights in a two-man youth cell – pre-trial detention has now also been imposed due to the risk of committing a crime – and without ketamine (the dangerous ‘party drug K’), the 17-year-old is no longer so self-confident. Such as the horror confession with icy pride to murder investigators from the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department – for which he had “drawn a huge queue”.

When top lawyer Manfred Arbacher-Stöger visited him for the first time in Josefstadt, the long-sought homeless phantom burst into tears and showed (too) late remorse. “The people were already on the ground, what have I done!”

“Risk report”
The court will also soon order an expert to carry out a psychological ‘risk assessment’ of the school dropout. It is possible that the person was healthy at the time of the crime, but suffered from a serious mental disorder.

Which would result in a prison sentence due to the danger posed by the suspect and a referral for therapy…
